FORGET ME NOT USA was inspired by a father who appeared on the Oprah Show a few years ago. He shared his tragic experience of forgetting his child in his car in the hope his story would save other families from suffering the same tragedy.
I knew I couldn't just listen to the reports on the nightly news and read about them in the newspaper. In some small measure, I needed to find a way to help. Thus the Forget Me Not website was designed.
My heart breaks each time I hear of another incident and I update the number of children who have died. Each year I pray the number will be ZERO.

While hyperthermia, commonly known as heat stroke, is the primary focus of FORGET ME NOT USA, there are many other dangers that can and do occur to children left alone in automobiles; playing with matches, shifting the car into drive or reverse gear, and playing behind a car.
